Perched on a rocky outcrop, Lussan is a medieval town surrounded by ramparts and overlooking the garrigue. Classified as a Village de Caractère, it is also one of France's Most Beautiful Villages. Its narrow streets and stone houses underline its rich past. The ramparts and sentry walk offer magnificent views of the Cévennes and Mont Ventoux. Nearby, the 5.6-metre-high menhir of La Lèque, one of the highest in Languedoc, promises an impressive encounter. The sumptuous Gorges des Concluses, carved out of the limestone by the Aiguillon river, can also be explored along a short, signposted path.
