Lédenon is a commune whose existence, and name, dates back to Gallo-Roman antiquity. Indeed, the name of the town comes from "Letinno", a local Gallic deity. The city and its surroundings still have vestiges of this period, such as the aqueduct, but also a medieval castle. A small architectural curiosity: the Gosselin solar villa, a house built in 1976 and registered as a historical monument. Finally, the city is also known for its speedway created in 1970. It is one of the most technical circuits in France with the particularity of being run counter-clockwise.
