This small village located between Vauvert and Générac is a commune full of history. Initially named Tovana, it is in 973 that this land becomes Bello Vicidum. In 1704, Beauvoisin was the scene of a riot during the revolt of the Camisards and the church was burned. The temple, built in 1834 on the ruins of the church, is classified as a historical monument since 2012. The tradition of the empègue (a stenciled drawing around the doors of the houses) goes back to the time of the conscripts. They collected money before leaving for the army and thanked the donors with this drawing. The oldest one found dates from 1894 and is located in Beauvoisin.
