On the edge of the ramparts of Aigues-Mortes, the 8,000-hectare salt marshes offer a magical landscape where flamingos, herons and gulls share the limelight. A small train will take you through the salt tables, where you'll discover the work of the salt-maker and the secrets of salt crystallization. The salt works can also be explored by bike or on foot, on your own or with a guide. An exhibition area and store are available to visitors.

The Salin d'Aigues-Mortes is an 8,000 hectare salt marsh located in the Camargue. The site has a long history of salt production dating back to the 10th century, and today it remains an important producer of sea salt. It offers a unique and picturesque landscape that includes a system of canals and ponds used to collect and evaporate sea water to produce salt. You can take guided tours of the salt flats on foot, by mountain bike or on a small train. You will have the opportunity to learn about the salt making process and buy souvenirs. You can also visit the site on your own with your bicycle. There are several hiking and biking trails around the marshes, which allow you to enjoy the beautiful landscape. In addition to salt production, the Salin d'Aigues-Mortes also offers a beautiful natural environment with abundant wildlife, including flamingos and other bird species such as herons and gulls. With the various accommodation options available on site, you can enjoy a relaxing getaway in the heart of the largest salt flat in the Mediterranean.

zu Hause eingekauft. Eine Stunde später dann das große Erwachen im nächsten Supermarkt: dort wurde das identische Salz deutlich günstiger angeboten. Schade, dass man hier offensichtlich mit seiner Abzocke auf die Naivität - man könnte auch sagen: Gutgläubigkeit - der Kunden setzt. Wir sind sehr enttäuscht.
