Saint-Genès-de-Lombaud is located in the Entre-deux-Mers region. Its inhabitants (just under 400 at the last census) are called Lombaussiens and Lombaussiennes. The commune is home to the Romanesque church of Notre-Dame-de-Tout-Espoir, built in the 12th century (and whose portal is worth a careful observation), as well as a hand-built feudal mound of 14 meters high. This motte was the place of retreat for the inhabitants during attacks on the village in the Middle Ages. Finally, Saint-Genès-de-Lombaud is the ideal starting point for discovering the region on foot or by bike during beautiful hikes.
