Tuchan is a major wine-producing area in the Hautes-Corbières region, with the ruins of the Château d'Aguilar just two kilometers from the village. Built in the 12th century, it once belonged to the Lords of Termes. Tuchan also boasts the partially ruined church of Notre-Dame de Faste, and the attractive facade of the Hôtel des Postes (now a hotel). With a population of around 800, the village is located 27 kilometers from Rivesaltes. Nearby is Mount Tauch, 950 meters high, which opens onto a beautiful panorama of vineyards and rocky garrigues.
