Trèbes is an ancient fortified village located less than 10 km east of Carcassonne. Several bridges span the three rivers that cross it. The Canal du Midi is an integral part of the landscape. A marina has been built and the towpath offers a pleasant walk in all seasons. Towards the exit of the village, don't miss the triple lock, embedded in the rock face: its slope has generated the construction of two mills. You should also see the Vauban canal bridge and the Rode bridge. Boat rentals are possible on the Canal du Midi from Trèbes. Weekly market on Sunday morning.
