Restaurant offering a wine list and offering homemade pastries and bread in Saint-Emilion.
Saint-Emilion's first historic wine bar, L'Envers du Décor opened in 1987 and was taken over in 2017 by the owners of Château Pavie. Winner of the best wine list in France at the Grand Prix de la Presse du Vin, this restaurant never disappoints. And if the wine list is to die for, the market cuisine has nothing to be ashamed of. The pastries and bread are also homemade. All under the signature of chef Bertrand Bordenave. The cellar dug into the rock and the fireplace make the place very pleasant and warm in winter.

Encore une bonne adresse mais moins authentique qu'avant
Nous avions connu ce restaurant il y a quelques années et avons voulu y retourner car nous en gardions un excellent souvenir. Le cadre est toujours aussi agréable, mais nous avons trouvé l'accueil et l'ambiance générale moins authentiques. La cuisine par contre est toujours aussi bonne. Réservation nécessaire.

Très bonne adresse que nous recommandons vivement à Saint Émilion ! Deco vraiment sympa a l’intérieur et la terrasse est aussi très agréable. Très bonne cuisine avec de bons produits et une belle carte des vins.
Le personnel est très accueillant et à l’écoute ..!
Nous avons testé un soir et nous y sommes retournés le lendemain midi !!!

Un accueil très convivial. Proche sans être intrusif. Une carte qui donne faim fin et....soif. Le cadre est très agréable une bonne adresse à partager.

Très convivial. Cuisine excellente avec des produits frais, de la viande au poisson en passant par des légumes cuits à la perfection. Décor agréable et service très sympa. Et un très bon conseil pour le vin! (Attention sommes des bourguignons difficiles!)

Par contre mauvaise hospitalité du patron qui n'offre même pas un digestif sur une commande à 500 euros pour un enterrement de vie de garçon. j
