Old mansion fully restored with spacious rooms.

It is impossible not to fall under the spell of this superb establishment in Narbonne dedicated to comfort and art. In this former mansion, the owner, Julie Fontanet, has created a real place to live on the themes of femininity, romance and Bacchus. Here, the works of local artists are everywhere, including in the five spacious rooms. Entirely restored, the house also houses a cosy lounge where you can relax and a dining room where a large table allows you to have breakfast.

Narbonne can be proud of having been the place of an unheard of event, at the time when the disappearance of the Roman Empire was already looming:

the wedding of the princess Galla Placidia and the Visigoth king Ataulfe, on January 1st of the year 414.

Galla Placidia carried in her a particularly brilliant imperial heredity since she was the daughter of the emperor Theodosius, the last to reign on the totality of the empire, she was thus the half-sister of the emperor Honorius.

The destiny of this woman was thus linked to the great Roman history at the end.

Galla Placidia was captured when Rome was taken by the Visigoths in August 410 and followed, from then on, the conquering path of the Visigoths leading them to Narbonne Gaul...
