For those who want to make a small gourmet stopover during a visit to the old town centre of Saint-Germain-en-Laye, L'Étable de Saint-Germain is undoubtedly the best address. Its credo: "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication!" At the same time a farm products shop, a delicatessen, a gastronomic discovery and tasting area and a restaurant on the terrace, there is an impressive range of local products of outstanding quality and finesse. The tenants work with producers from various parts of France, but also from Italy and Spain, allowing them to offer products that are not found anywhere else in the city. For example, you can let yourself be tempted by a charcuterie platter from Massimo (meat producer from Trentino) and cheeses from Mickaël, a producer in the Vosges in Isches and the younger brother of Aymeric, the owner of the place. All this, of course, is accompanied by fresh bread and wines from carefully selected producers, to be enjoyed on the pretty terrace. In short, a pretty space where taste and quality certainly reign.

Il y a deux ans je me suis retrouvé devant l'étable par hasard et ai commandé un plateau charcut' et fromages accompagnés d'un verre de vin ... j'ai adoré ... dorénavant mes pas m'y mènent une fois par semaine et vous comprendrez bien qu'il ne s'agit plus le fruit du hasard (mais peut être d'une addiction). Une belle variété de charcuteries et de fromages, la qualité et le prix sont au rendez-vous. Une équipe (on y inclus le propriétaire) excellente, toujours le sourire aux lèvres, ils sont chaleureux et bon conseillers. Ici vous trouverez aussi des vins, quelques bières, jarres de cassoulets, confitures. Allez y et ne vous abstenez surtout pas ... si vous le faites, pas grave, ça en fera plus pour moi :)
