A major player in the Nabi movement, Maurice Denis contributed to the birth of modern art. To pay tribute to his work, the Musée départemental Maurice Denis is presenting the exhibition Bonheur rêvé. This exceptional sitewas also the artist's home. It consists of a 17th century building, a chapel, the painter's studio and a picturesque garden decorated with sculptures. It is thus a real immersion in the intimacy of the man and the painter which is proposed, with the re-illumination of the key works of the museum. They stand alongside other works from exceptional loans, notably from the Musée d'Orsay, as well as pieces that have never been shown before or rarely shown since the painter's death, mainly from private collections. Also to be followed closely at the museum, which is located in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, are the other events in November and December, including a highlight on the comic strip and a concert in the chapel.
