3 km from Saint-Lambert-des-Bois, Milon-la-Chapelle is a former property of a lord of Chevreuse who establishes a chapel to which he gave his name. The village grew gradually around this chapel, which became a stronghold of the abbey of Saint-Denis. The village is the homeland of Sauvegrain, farmer who arma the inhabitants and defeated the soldiers of Louis XIV during the Sling. The two villages of Milon and La Chapelle were formerly separate municipalities on both sides of the Rhodon; they were formally unified in 1791.
