The village located at half a dozen km in the North-East of Saint-Emilion has a castle of XIVe and XVIIe centuries with two towers topped by roofs in pepperpot. The castle is not visited, as it is privately owned, but the village is worth a visit for its Puisseguin-Saint-Emilion appellation vineyard. This covers 730 hectares of hills north-east of Saint-Emilion and has some 130 winegrowers. Puisseguin thus has an exceptional natural heritage, but also a very rich historical heritage: the church of Saint-Martin of the 11th century, the church of Saint-Pierre, the castles of Monbadon, Puisseguin, Roque
