Between the Ciron and the forest of the hautes Landes girondines, Préchac is strongly marked by wood, as several sawmills in activity in the surroundings attest. History has also left its mark on the place and you should not miss a visit to the Château de Cazeneuve, on the road to Pompejac. It is also the land of Bertrand de Got, with one of its so-called Clementine castles: the castle of La Trave. This one was built in 1306 by Arnaud-Bernard de Preyssac, relative of the pope Clement V. This vast fortress was protected on one side by the Ciron and on the other by ditches. Totally in ruins today, the castle is free access.
