CHÂTEAU VIEUX MAILLET
The vineyard of the Old Maillet extends over an area of 8 hectares, with gravelly brown soils, sandy brown on clay mollasses with iron crasses and deep profondes bruns. The grape mix is made up of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet franc. The vine is cultivated following a reasoned struggle and the harvest is manual. Breeding takes place in French oak barrels for 14 months on average. This castle has received many awards, such as a gold medal at the Japan Wine Challenge 2007, a silver medal at the Brussels Competition and two bronze medals at Japan Wine Challenge 2006 and the International Wine Challenge 2007. The opinion of oenologists: Château Vieux Maillet, Pomerol, 2004: Very dark ruby dress. Complex nose, cooked red fruit notes, griotte, smoked notes and aromatic herbs. The mouth is round.
