In the ancient village of Plassac near Blaye, a listed site with a Gallo-Roman villa and archaeological museum.
Classified as a historical monument, the site of Plassac holds the remains of a Gallo-Roman villa built in the first centuries AD. The museum is managed by the association of "Friends of Old Plassac" and highlights the historical heritage of the region. On two floors are presented the archaeological furniture resulting from the excavations (wall decorations, architectural elements, furniture, tools...) as well as a virtual reconstruction in 3D of the villa.

Originality
This museum is well worth a visit. One is quickly transported into another era, you can imagine the daily life of the inhabitants of the villa several centuries ago. I had to power to a group of excursion with a very good guide. Without its explanation, it is true, it would have been impossible to me to recreate painting.
