Osny is steeped in history and was established along the ancient Chaussée Jules César. Rural, the village underwent a major demographic and urban transformation when it joined the new city of Cergy-Pontoise in the 1970s. However, although it has a population of 16,000, the village has kept its agricultural activities and its old village. Around an 18th century castle, transformed into the town hall, you will find the Grouchy park and the Saint-Pierre-aux-Liens church (13th century). Note that Osny was a site appreciated by great painters of the 19th century, such as Camille Pissarro, Paul Gauguin and William Thornley.
