Marathon runners come from all over the world to run the 42 km in the heart of the great Médoc châteaux and vineyards.

The Médoc Marathon is one of the oldest marathons in France and the most famous. It is a must for those who love sport, wine and partying. Marathon runners come from all over the world to cover the 42 km in the heart of the great castles and illustrious Médoc vineyards. The start of the race takes place on the quays of Pauillac. Along the route, the gates of the greatest estates of the Pauillac, Saint-Julien, Haut Médoc and Saint-Estèphe appellations open to the runners for a tasting. In the evening, a big free ball and fireworks bring this beautiful day to a close.

Nice day in the Médoc for runners, but also for the onlookers. Set near a castle, it is a real show to applaud the disguised runners, some have much imagination! and if there are not many entertainment with Pauillac (place of arrival).
