Situated on the banks of the river, Herblay-sur-Seine has many faces. With a population of over 30,000, Herblay-sur-Seine is a busy market town on the banks of the Seine. The Saint-Martin church, overlooking the river, gives the town a rural feel. On the other, a tertiary aspect, with vast shopping areas on the other side of the A15 freeway, which crosses the town to the north. The "Patte d'Oie" shopping zone, with its hundreds of retailers, is frequented by the entire north-western Ile-de-France region.
