ÉGLISE NOTRE-DAME D'AUVERS
12th century stone church, topped by a square tower bell tower and featuring a painting by Van Gogh
Originally a simple chapel, this church was built of local stone in the 12th century. Built on a promontory, it is topped by a square bell tower, one of the most famous in the world. Visitors from all over the world come to admire it, not least because of the famous Van Gogh painting that immortalized it and can be admired at the Musée d'Orsay. The monument also hosts concerts as part of Europe's classical music festival.
