In the 12th century, the lands of Vaujours belonged to Etienne de Senlis before becoming the property of the abbey of Saint-Victor de Paris until the Revolution. It is in these places that Henri IV had established a hunting lodge. At the end of the 18th century, a church dedicated to Saint Nicolas was built. But it is only in the 19th century that the place was really developed with the creation of the Fénelon horticultural high school in a castle of the 18th century which sheltered thereafter an orphanage. Once a village of straw, fodder and litter traders, Vaujours has kept its rural character and has many monuments and parks where it is pleasant to stroll.
