Tasting 2021-

Moulis, Cru Bourgeois Bordeaux Médoc 2017 : Ruby colour. Expressive nose, ripe red fruits, blackcurrant buds, menthol, whisky lactone, vanilla, melted wood. Nice fresh and melted attack in the mouth. Well-balanced and long on the palate.

The origin of Château Biston-Brillette goes back to the beginning of the 19th century, when M.BISTON, owner of a few hectares of vines in the commune of Moulis, decided to associate his name with the place called Brillette, in order to personalize his production. The estate, which had up to 30 hectares of vines in the 1860s, was ravaged by phylloxera a few years later and then changed owners several times, until 1930 when, due to inheritance, the vineyard was sold separately from the land and the château. Mr LAGARDE bought the 5 hectares of vines that the estate had at that time. Since 1963, the vineyard has been in the hands of his successor, Mr Michel BARBARIN.
