Donations of milkIf you produce too much milk, do not hesitate to give the excess to a lactarium. Created in 1947, lactariums are "milk banks" charged with collecting breast milk to distribute it to children who need it, such as babies who are hospitalized or too small and whose mothers cannot breastfeed. It is a gift of milk, so totally free. These lactariums are closely bound by the law. If you decide to give your milk, you will complete a medical questionnaire to evaluate your profile, and go through medical visits to verify that you do not have any disease transmissible by milk on the day of donation, and then every three months. You can give 200 millilitres a day, for a few days up to three months on average. There is one lactarium per region. Normally, you won't have to move.
