Served by the RER 19 km from Paris Centre, Aulnay-sous-Bois highly urbanised is a vibrant, young and vibrant suburb. The canal crosses the far south of its territory. For a long time this canal was a place of leisure: guinguettes and balls, walks and angling, bathing and siestes on the water. It was the place of meeting and relaxation of the Aulnaysiens, but also many Parisians who came to spend their Sunday in Aulnay. Many Aulnaysiens have learned to swim in the canal's waters as a swimming pool! One of the main attractions of the canal was the «Lost Garden Lillois». It offered every Sunday from 14 a. m. to 19 p. m. a grand orchestra ball. It housed a large labyrinth garden planted with troènes where it was allowed to lose for sentimental appointments! The Union Bridge is the only Aulnay that crosses the canal. Built at the beginning of the th century, it combines the smallest quarter with the rest of the city. The area of the Union is the neighbourhood located in the south-east of the municipality and extends on both sides of the canal. Prior to its construction, a boat smuggler took the canal to those who wanted to join the other bank.Among other attractions, Aulnay is located in the Des of the family gardens, a rose garden, a vineyard, ponds and an environment house recently built in the heart of Faure Park, offering numerous animations, entertaining and educational courses, exhibitions and workshops. You can also randonner along the canal. And make a gastronomic stopover around the only table table in the department…In summer, during the Canal in Celebration event, the Fluviale River Resort program of balls and other animations.
