In addition to its 12th-13th century church, its tower, its wash-house... the village has preserved its historic residences, in particular the "affolantes", vacation homes on the banks of the Seine, which rival the charm of the large bourgeois mansions. In fine weather, you can stroll along the quays to the river stop or along the more secluded paths of Ile du Berceau. Numerous towpaths, reminiscent of the old horse-drawn coches, invite you to take a stroll. Much sought-after since the last century, Samois has been home to many artists, including Django Reinhardt. An annual jazz festival is dedicated to him.
