For one year, visitors are invited to discover the Château-Musée in a new light by attending a collections workshop. Kezako, a collection site? This is an exceptional operation for a museum that allows a "mass" scientific work to be carried out on a group of objects. The aim? To speed up the inventory of the Château-Museum's collection, as well as to specify the state of the objects listed.
On the ground floor of the château, a storeroom has been set up to reveal the museum's backstage area and to observe all the actions required to "process" a work: collecting information about the object (author, title, material, dimensions, etc.), entering data on computer software, taking photographs, dusting, marking, packaging, etc. On certain days, it will also be possible to discover the work of art conservators.
Upstairs, the history of the castle in the Middle Ages is highlighted with panels retracing its architectural evolution between the 12th and 17th centuries (from January to June 2020), followed by an exhibition of restored works from the museum's 19th century Fine Arts collections: paintings, sculptures, graphic arts, photographs (from July 2020 to February 2021).
