The village dates back to the 11th century, when it was attached to Boutigny. In the 15th century, it was part of the Church's wealth. In 1588, a convent of the Minimes was founded here, but for lack of income, it was demolished and its properties sold in the 18th century. Today, several toponyms preserve the memory of this period: Clos du Chapitre, Sente des Minimes, Couvent... Its 15th-16th-century Saint-Eloi church was plundered by Protestants in 1561. Located on the road from Germany to Paris, Fublaines also suffered from the passage of armies in 1814, 1815 and 1870. Today, the GR14A hiking trail runs through the village.
