Loupiac is a small commune located on the right bank of the Garonne. Founded in 1816, it is located between Cadillac, Barsac and Sainte-Croix-du-Mont, and gives its name to the AOC Loupiac, a sweet wine. On the territory of the commune, we find the 12th century church of Saint-Pierre, classified as a Historic Monument, the castle of Cros from the 15th to 18th centuries, also listed as a Historic Monument for its towers and remains, as well as a Gallo-Roman villa dating from the 2nd and 5th centuries which had quite important thermal baths. The territory of Loupiac is relatively hilly, ideal for hiking!
