Cultural center offering exhibitions, film screenings, concerts, meetings and theology courses

Inaugurated in 2008 after a complete renovation, this Catholic cultural center offers a wide range of intellectual, cultural and spiritual activities. A rare vestige of the school buildings that abounded in the old Latin Quarter, this meeting place for dialogue dates back to the 13th century. Its superb Gothic nave with columns and ogives is a jewel of Cistercian architecture. After the French Revolution, it was used successively as a prison, warehouse, fire station and police boarding school.

The restored refectory of the former Cistercian Abbey is quite well hidden down a quiet side street, but a beautiful and tranquil place which is well worth seeking out when in the neighbourhood. While the complex is now a conference and training centre, you can walk freely around this magnificent medieval hall during opening hours. If you understand French, it is well worth taking the tour which is offered at 4pm three times each week, which gives a detailed history of the complex over the centuries, and takes you down into the crypt rooms and up into the attic lecture theatres. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Magnífica restauración de un convento del siglo XIV, que se llevó incluso un premio europeo.
Se puede entrar gratuitamente a la nave principal y la sacristía todos los días de 10 a 18.
También hay tres visitas comentadas semanales para las que conviene inscribirse previamente, que duran hora y media y que, aparte de contar los detalles de la historia del edificio, permiten acceder al sótano y el tejado.
