A museum dedicated to the history of Paris, with a rich collection of remarkable pieces.
After several years of renovation, the Carnavalet museum finally reopened in May 2021. The architecture has been enhanced, many works restored and new spaces opened. Located in the heart of the Marais district, this museum dedicated to the history of Paris boasts a wealth of collections: drawings, sculptures, paintings, objects from prehistory to the present day... Highlights include the Neolithic pirogues from Bercy, the Saint-Eloi scroll, signs from the 16th to 20th centuries, photographs by Nadar, Doisneau and Cartier-Bresson... A must-see!
