The hotel is decorated with a mixture of Baroque and contemporary styles where each room evokes a facet of the Marais.

How about a hotel decorated entirely by Christian Lacroix? The famous designer was tempted by the idea, and was given carte blanche to decorate the rooms and public areas of this ^17th-century building, one by one. The result is a magnificent blend of the baroque and the contemporary, with each room evoking a different facet of the Marais while retaining the spirit of the place: the façade is that of a former bakery.

Quirky but comfortable with great decor and staff

Rooms are ok, relatively small.
Cleaning of the room is not a 4 stars standard, not attentive, clean and cleaning staff not really friendly and forthcoming.

Also the toiletries and shower gel comes in plastic bags not sufficiently refilled

It was a really good location--easy to walk various places, and surprisingly quiet for Paris. Yet it was close to lots of good restaurants, boulangeries, cafes. Every single person with whom we interacted was friendly and helpful (and patient with my very bad French). The room was small, but that's what we wanted (when in Paris, we're barely in the room!), and the bathroom was relatively (and helpfully) large. Lots of outlets, a comfortable bed, and a good breakfast.

We really enjoyed our stay! The staff was friendly and helpful, and the deluxe room we stayed in was comfortable, clean, and a great size for Paris—we even had a king sized bed! The bathroom was also updated and roomy. Honestly, the hotel was significantly nicer that I thought it would be from pictures online!

The neighborhood was pretty quiet over night, but there were plenty of great cafes and boulangeries and shops close by. We will absolutely stay again on future trips!
