In this very business neighbourhood, it is sometimes difficult to eat well... Too much expensive or just too bad, all the addresses are not recommendable. Le Zag à Vin, within walking distance from Madeleine, stands apart. The lunch menu fulfil its part without problem. Fresh and seasonal ingredients, the menu is on the classic at lunchtime, there's nothing sensational but offers a very good quality/price ratio: melon in Italian way to start, fish shepherd pie to continue and homemade pudding with prunes for the end. The dishes are more expensive and more elaborate in the evening: pan-fried snails with finely diced vegetables with the garlic cream, extra veal cutlets, peanuts sauce, polenta with olives, and cranberries pie, yuzu quenelle, surprise panna cotta. The decoration is that of a chic bistro with its velvet seats, its old-fashioned chandeliers and its wooden tables furnished with fabric towels.
