LE MOULIN ROUGE

Cabaret and Revue
4.3/5
13 reviews

It is one of the most flamboyant symbols of Montmartre and Paris. Since its creation in 1889, this singular mill has made millions of people dream, from London to Berlin to Tokyo! The establishment is equipped with a gigantic dance floor, countless mirrors, a gallery and a garden. The public also participates in a whole imaginary of the place. The balls of the Moulin Rouge quickly became very popular, the cancan dancers mythical. Today, the review "Féerie" includes 80 artists, including the 60 Doriss Girls.

LA FOURMI

Bar and caf
5/5
1 review

A must, located right next to La Cigale and having the same notoriety in Paris - or almost. Indeed, this trendy bar with its industrial and wooded decor, on several levels, is located right next to the famous stage. This is where the trendy youth meet before or after having shared a musical moment, but it is above all a very lively rallying point. In the evening, avoid making it a place for a romantic date, the crowd is dense, and we prefer to come here in a group. The drinks are affordable for the neighbourhood, and the terrace is unmissable in summer. In short, an institution in Pigalle, filled from morning to night.

The cabaret, perhaps the most famous in the world, is photographed every day by thousands of people, who pose in front of the famous windmill overlooking the district: if the Moulin Rouge is a symbol, it's revues, an absolutely breathtaking show that you must attend at least once in your life. You can of course attend a show with or without a meal, in the morning. The show, dubbed "Féérie", is as impressive as it is finely tuned, a veritable firework display of prowess by the 60 Doriss Girls.

CHEZ MICHOU

Cabaret and Revue
4.5/5
4 reviews

Adorned in his eternal blue outfit and accessorized with his best blue sunglasses, Michou never went unnoticed. This Montmartre icon passed away in 2020, but his cabaret continues as before, perpetuating his memory and his work. Look-alikes of all kinds follow one another with talent, having fun with themselves and with the audience! The transformists, who also perform in the cabaret, are truly characters in their own right. The current revue, "Destination Michettes", is in the purest tradition of the place. Reservations essential.

LA CIGALE

Listed as a historic monument, with its curious white facade featuring only a few windows, this is one of Paris's musical landmarks, in one of the capital's most vibrant districts. This Italian-style theater, with its 1,400 seats, parterre and balcony, is an eclectic stage for all kinds of artists. Lots of music, of course, but also shows. Note also that the Boule Noire, in the basement, also organizes concerts, albeit on a more intimate scale.

LE TRIANON

Village halls and multipurpose halls
4/5

Born in 1895, the Trianon-Concert is one of the first Parisian music halls. Destroyed alongside its neighbour Elysée Montmartre in 1900, it was rebuilt two years later and was successively named Trianon-Theatre, Theatre Victor Hugo and finally Trianon. It presented to the public as artists such as transformist Fregoli and the young Mistinguett. Transformed into a cinema in 1939, it returned to live performances in 1992. It was given a theater room, classical concerts, but it is its programming dominated by tracks - Bénabar, Jacques Higelin ... Carla Bruni - the only one on stage, and the musical comedy presented by Trianon is now renowned. In 2010, the room was completely restored in order to preserve the heritage. It is open to international artists and can receive up to 1500 people and 1080 people on seated configuration. In our opinion, the Trianon is one of the most beautiful establishments in the capital.

LES COGNÉES

Casino billiards and bowling
4/5

It's an address that never ceases to be talked about! It's all about axe throwing, which has become an extremely popular sport in Canada over the last ten years. Thomas Morel, on a trip there, attended a competition and fell in love with the practice. On his return, he opened Les Cognées, France's first axe-throwing center: 10 targets and rather light axes, with blunt blades of course. Once the safety instructions have been given, you'll be treated to a short training session, then it's off to the competition!

THÉÂTRE DE DIX HEURES

Theater
4/5
1 review

A long-standing address for artists'magazines, the Ten Hour Theatre today presents some man shows and loud comedies. At the location of this 1890 th place hall, there was first a cabaret of arts inaugurated in. He took his current name in 1925 under the direction of Roger Ferréol. He borrowed him from a Tirade tirade - in Les Linottes - referring to the fortune enjoyed by a theatre if he presented gay shows at 10 a. m. With artists such as Martini, Noël-Noël, Dalio, Saint-Granier, Jean Rigaux, Marguerite Moreno, Jeanne Fusier-Irm, he succeeded in creating a loyal audience. From the 1950 s, new talents are emerging: Oleo, Jean Breton, Jean Poiret, Michel Serrault, Anne-Marie Carrière, Thierry Le Luron… In the early 1980 s, the Ten Hour Theatre was directed towards theatre, notably under the direction of Michel Galabru and his son. You can see it by Mom or give me your linen, I make a machine, Didier Bénureau and Muriel Robin. He was the sponsor of the place when Michel Joyeau and Michel Miletti took their head in 1990 - in partnership with Just for Laughs since 2007. Laughter and song are in the spotlight. In the first category come to work Elie and Dieudonné, Franck Dubosc, Patrick Bosso, Stéphane Guillon, the Jamel Comedy Club… And in the second: Juliette, Marie-Paule Belle, Guy Montagné, Hervé Vilard, Nicole Croisille…

L'ELYSEE MONTMARTRE

Discotheque
4/5

Recognizable by its superb façade depicting a dancer, the Elysée Montmartre was listed as a Monument Historique in 1989. Before it was a concert hall, it was a ballroom dating from 1807, made up of three buildings and equipped with a metal structure from the Pavillon de France, designed by Gustave Eiffel for the 1889 Universal Exhibition. Numerous events are held here, starting with concerts, and the line-up - as we close this guide - is impressive: Brent Fayaz, Peter Cat Recording, Oscar Anton...

LE RENDEZ-VOUS DES AMIS

Cafconcert
3.7/5

A "band of pals" in this former hotel of the early century, ideally placed between the Abbesses and the Sacré-Coeur. Exposed beams and patina on the walls give the two rooms - a large bar and wooden tables in the first, quiet sofas and low tables in the second - a warm and intimate atmosphere. The music prevails: songs, rock, hip-hop, funk, soul, electro… And for nothing to spoil, the place offers happy hours very interesting. On the summer evenings, you will be prompted to discuss with all the clients who take the steps of this convivial meeting…

LE HASARD LUDIQUE

Club
3/5
1 review

The former station of the Petite Ceinture de Paris has been transformed into a hybrid cultural place that hosts concerts, parties, screenings, performances... and it counts thousands of followers. It must be said that this kind of place is welcome in the northern district of the capital, which has a little delay to catch up in terms of festive places. So the place proposes various regular parties and various music sets, generally rather sharp, just what is necessary so that everyone can wiggle in a good spirit. Note also that this Hasard Ludique also organizes workshops, solidarity events and that it houses a creative canteen.

THÉÂTRE MONTMARTRE-GALABRU

First, there was a conservatory founded in 1850 by Renée Maubel, which included studios of rehearsals and a hall where Raimu, Frehel and Pierre Fresnay were included. Unfortunately, it was seriously deteriorated in the 1970 s. In 1984, Michel Galabru bought her, retyping her and confided it to his daughter Emma, who named the theater place Maubel-Galabru, then Montmartre-Galabru. Here you will find a hundred spectators of comedy, musical shows, one man shows and children's shows.

Over the last few years, Madame Arthur, initially known for her incredible transvestite shows, has gradually expanded her range of possibilities, to the point of becoming a must-see on Parisian nights. In keeping with the spirit of the place - now associated with the Divan du Monde - we offer you unique evenings: a colorful (and above all, talented) show, followed by a blind-test (Fridays and Saturdays), a singing tour (Thursdays to Saturdays) and finally a clubbing evening with all the French references of yesterday and today.

LE MAGNUM

Warm, or boiling, is the atmosphere of the Magnum dancefloor! Completely energetic, completely sensual, the black and white public lâche lâche over everything that makes good its Afro-African: rap, become, zouk, décalé, house… Excellent dancers give themselves to this address. Take a drink and sit down and watch the demonstration! The good atmosphere is guaranteed. Revellers don't love rap and hip-hop will do better to continue their path.

AU LAPIN AGILE

Cabaret and Revue

What a legendary place! The Lapin Agile continues with the tradition of cabaret Montmartre where most nights before the real night, artists sing, recite poems or make jokes while you nibble something just like in the old days of cherries in brandy if you desire. Originally, Le Lapin belongs to Gill, the artist who painted the establishment depicting a rabbit jumping out of a saucepan. The place was opened in 1875, but encountered a great impact at the end of the nineteenth century; one of the great figures of Montmartre brought the ban and the backbench of writers, poets, musicians, actors, innovative painters and sculptors who live on la Butte. Frédé is his name, meets the young Picasso, Utrillo, Derain, Braque, Modigliani, Apollinaire, Max Jacob, André Salmon, Pierre Mac Orlan, Francis Carco, Roland Dorgelès Gaston Couté, Caran d'Ache, Forain, Jehan Rictus, Charles Dullin ... We cannot list all of them! The famous Aristide Briant was at one point the owner of the cabaret, and then sold it to the son of Frédé, Paulo. Paulo then took back the policy of his father and in the year 1930, it brings together people like Rina Ketty, Pierre Brasseur Pierre Asso, Jacques Pills, then, in the decades following Dudan Pierre, Jean-Roger Caussimon, Alexandre Lagoya Georges Brassens, François Billetdoux, Annie Girardot, Claude Nougaro Debronckart Jacques, Georges Zamfir, Frédéric Lodéon ...

LE COULOIR

Bar and caf

How to say? The Corridor is a bit of the last chance on the Pigalle side. The Infatigables's infatigables are getting there at no time, to drink a last drink, and they are still hours later. Everyone is frankly ecstatic, and it talks more right, but it talks! The ground floor is indeed a kind of corridor. In the basement, if the adventure tries you, it's more trash, downright underground, more unexpected. We go to spend a night away from the sanitized places. We're in Pigalle and the place still kept the sexy side of the neighborhood. To discover!
