The old Theatre of the Empire, which had made the fine days of some television broadcasts, was destroyed to leave the place at this luxury hotel, astonishing by its glass facade designed by the architect Christian de Portzamparc. The hotel is steeped in exoticism, especially at the Makassar Lounge & Restaurant, where the chef offers contemporary French cuisine and a selection of Indonesian dishes. The rooms and suites, with a very refined design, but punctuated with vivid colours such as the cherry red, with Makassar wood, have been thought of as true living spaces offering comfort, charm and state-of-the-art technology.
