A vast or rather long market on a street where many shops (perfumeries, bookshops...) are open on Sunday mornings. Stalls can be found on both sides of rue de la Convention, between the crossroads with rue de Vaugirard and rue de l'Abbé Groult. The narrow sidewalks make it difficult to get around, and many locals bring their families, baby carriages and carts to the market. And don't forget that some of the shops sell only organic produce.

MARCHÉ GRENELLE

It's certainly one of the capital's most important markets (although its location has since been moved, it's the historic market in the village of Grenelle, a commune incorporated into Paris in 1860). The stalls are spread around a single alley beneath the aerial metro between La Motte-Piquet and Dupleix. Handy when it rains! On Sunday mornings, it's all the rage, and you have to elbow your way through. Four-season merchants, fishmongers, butchers, delicatessens, cheesemongers, patissiers, numerous organic stalls..
