In the heart of the BNF, the Tschann 13 bookshop offers books related to current exhibitions and much more

Inaugurated in 1995, the BNF is one of the largest libraries in the world. Surrounding a central garden, four L-shaped buildings evoke the shape of open books. They house almost eleven million books, many of which are accessible to the general public, as is the Tschann 13 bookshop, which offers catalogs of current exhibitions as well as reference works on the arts and literature. Meetings are also organized here.

Superbe bibliothèque qui présente des expositions intéressantes. Une exposition gratuite et très bien documentée sur les affiches de films y est actuellement présentée. Passez par la salle où sont exposés les globes de Coronelli, ils sont majestueux. Ils ont été offerts à Louis XIV dans les années 1680.

Située le long de la Seine, la bibliothèque François Mitterrand est originale. Le site est bien desservi par les transports en commun parisiens. Très beau bâtiment.

Une architecture hors du commun, qui se dessine d'assez loin à Paris. Il faut passer voir ces 4 grands livres... dedans, des expositions !
