Napoleon is a figure in French history who is as much admired as he is controversial. On the occasion of the bicentenary of his death, the public has the opportunity to delve into the life of France's first emperor, a complex man whose life oscillated between victory and defeat, heroism and tragedy, as well as modern and regressive political measures. Organised in partnership with the Grand Palais and Re Re / Adonis, and with the contribution of prestigious museums, the exhibition takes place at the Grande Halle de la Villette in Paris. Masterpieces created under the empire, paintings, educational films, clothes, busts, statues, jewels, all these treasures retrace the life of a character who never ceases to captivate the mind.
