This route is highly recommended for less-experienced cyclists, but much less so for rollerbladers: dirt creeps in nonchalantly on some sections, unfortunately making access difficult. What a shame! Leaving from the Chatou bridge in the Yvelines department, the itinerary takes you through pleasant surroundings, with shady lawns, sports fields and picnic areas. On the outward journey, you first skirt the Île des Impressionnistes, then the Île de la Chaussée. When you reach the Bougival bridge, cross the river in the direction of Croissy, and return to your starting point via the right bank. A second option is to take the towpath via the left bank, but you'll have to pedal for a few hundred meters on the less pleasant Nationale 13.
