As its name indicates, the site of this city was originally a wild - wooded area where rabbits proliférent - located near Doves. The estate remains the property of the abbey of Saint-Denis. During the reign of Louis XIV, he was entrusted to the institution for girls of the nobility of the Ladies of Saint-Cyr, founded by Madame de Maintenon. During the French Revolution, it was sold as a national good, then in the th century, it was the subject of a vast operation lands. The new city thus created separates from Doves and becomes a commune in 1910. There are a few sights such as the Saint-Urbain church or the old showers. The city now has 27 400 inhabitants.
