Cap Ferret is located at the southern tip of the Lège Cap-Ferret peninsula. This twenty-kilometer-long barrier beach separates the Arcachon Basin from the Atlantic Ocean. It's a unique situation, as you can enjoy the landscapes of the Bassin on one side, the waves and immensity of the Côte d'Argent on the other, not forgetting the forest of the Landes de Gascogne. At the tip of Cap Ferret, in the middle of the passes, you can see the Banc d'Arguin and, beyond it, the famous Dune du Pilat. This emblematic part of the Arcachon basin has long been occupied exclusively by seasonal fishermen and hunters.
