Located at the point of gravity, these vast brackish water marshes used to serve salt production. 800 years later, nature has regained its rights and old basins home to a wide variety of plant and animal species (butterfly, cistern turtle, migratory birds, sea sage…). Anchored at the heart of these marine marshes, the Medoc CPIE works to develop, rehabilitate and enhance this heritage with unsuspected riches. The association organizes guided tours to discover the local cultural and cultural heritage of these sites.
