Le Verdon symbolizes the end of the land and the beginning of Aquitaine. The Pointe de Grave is a unique place where the waters of the Gironde and the Ocean mingle. The commune's long, sandy beaches and 4 harbors make it an attractive place to visit. While Port Bloc offers a maritime link between Verdon and Royan, the Vieux Port aux Huîtres comes alive every summer with its guinguettes. The landscape is marked by three lighthouses: Cordouan in the open sea, Grave at the mouth of the Gironde and Saint-Nicolas. For a nature walk, the Verdonnaise circuit (6.7 km) offers a wide variety of landscapes. New this summer: a 900-metre wooden footbridge linking Port Médoc to Verdon.
