In the Middle Ages, three hamlets covered the territory of the commune, constituting distinct fiefs and seigneuries: Cincehours, Monteloup and Launay-Courçon. In the 16th century, Gilles Le Maître built a parish church in Cincehours and almost a century later, Louis XIV offered the Courson estate to Guillaume de Lamoignon, first president of the Parliament of Paris. By decree of the President of the Republic, the commune took the name of Courson-Monteloup in 1882. Today you can admire its castle built in the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries and classified as a historical monument. Its domain, labelled as a remarkable garden, is magnificent!
