From the Hundred Years' War to the river craftsmen, Langoiran has preserved the vestiges of a colorful history. In the lower town, walk along the quays of the Garonne, then up Rue Berquin, along the Estey, where a series of old fishermen's houses line up. At the end of this street, a metal bridge crosses the river to reach Le Tourne. It's from this side of the river that the view of the port's superb façades is most striking. In the upper town, the medieval château de Langoiran (late 13th - early 14th century) and the Romanesque church of Saint-Pierre-ès-Liens are the two must-see sites.
