An elaborate alliance of French pastry-making know-how and the finesse of Japanese gastronomy, Masako offers pastries that are as exotic as they are appetizing. The first Japanese pastry shop in Rouen is always busy and continues to arouse the curiosity of passers-by. You will find in its very modern store, hidden in the small street of Quebec, wonders of kokoro no eiyou, to be translated by "food for the soul". French pastries with, very often, a touch of Japanese flavor, based for example on green tea...

Adjacent to the Aître Saint-Maclou, this is one of Rouen's finest addresses. Here, finesse and delicacy preside over the confection of the finest pastries. Gilles Tournadre and Philippe Coudy created it, to the delight of our taste buds. The great chef draws inspiration from his environment, among other things, to invent unique pieces: the Norman side is found in the apple skilfully combined with its buckwheat shortbread, the urban side is transcended in the inimitable and unique pavé de l'aître. A true moment of happiness!

The Établissement Meier was the perfect place for the chocolate maker. After long months of work, the Coudray Époux completely transformed the legendary address - very well known to all the Rouennais and all the passengers from the station - to make it a popular and popular address, but of another kind. For proof, this lovely tea lounge/space salad of midday, which benefits from a resolutely contemporary garden. Quality is also good here: breads, small furnaces, macaroons, so many different homemade products that recall the know-how of Yvonne, the grandmother of Emilie Coudray, a stylist in Rouen in between wars. A few metres from the train station, a beautiful wine shop to discover and rediscover. And soon, an online ordering shop.

There aren't many bakeries in Rouen where you can buy organic, expertly-made sourdough bread - and good bread at that! Frédéric Hamelin, a gifted and passionate craftsman, has made no mistake: he offers a range of special and traditional breads never before available in Rouen. And the public is more than happy to sample a nutty loaf, a seeded loaf or a Swedish baguette. But that's not all, of course. On the sweet side, the man works wonders. We can't fail to be delighted by his gourmet desserts based on fruit, caramel and, of course, chocolate!

In this new store, it is the luxury donuts which is put in the honor. At snack time, you will discover the traditional sugar, chocolate or granola doughnuts, but above all the most elaborate ones: Tropézienne (with orange blossom pastry cream), Garden (with pistachio cream and raspberries), or the sublime lemon meringue. Then, when it's time for lunch or an early evening snack, the salty side takes over: the Bakin'dwichs come in Norwegian, chicken or sweet & cheese versions... in short, a very nice address to adopt.
