The village of Lagorce, with its three villages, is located on the borders of the Dordogne and Charente rivers, in the northeast of the Gironde. The territory extends into the valleys of the Dronne and Lary. At the highest point between the two valleys, - the Old Gorce - is a Celtic burial mound and an 11th century church. St. Peter's Church has been remodelled several times since its construction in the 11th century. The bell tower is square and the vault of the nave was built in the 19th century. There is also the Notre-Dame chapel, dated 1853. Along the Lary stream are four mills from the time, dedicated to flour production. Rural and picturesque, the village of Lagorce is ideal for beautiful walks in its forest landscapes.
