This showcase apartment, now a UNESCO World Heritage site, is a summary of the ambitious modern urbanism of the ^20th century, imagined and designed by architect Auguste Perret during the Reconstruction period. Functionality, optimal sunlight, integrated kitchen and bathroom, removable partitions... The place is a charming immersion in the everyday objects of the Trente Glorieuses: pressure cooker, vacuum cleaner, record player, typewriter.

Visits: Wednesdays and Fridays: 3.30pm and 4.30pm, Saturdays: 11am, 2.30pm, 3.30pm and 4.30pm, Sundays and November 11th: 11am, 2.30pm and 3.30pm. Summer: daily. Adults: €7. Concessions: €5. Free admission on first Saturday of each month, for under-26s, jobseekers and those on minimum social benefits. Second floor, no elevator. Guided tour.

essentiel. Pour les passionnés de design et d'architecture

l'architecture d'un ingénieur qui montre le béton tel qu'il est sans le recouvrir, mettant en valeur les pierres à l'intérieur. L'intérieur apparaît essentiel, entièrement dédié aux besoins de la famille sans fioritures

Très agréable et instructive visite, avec une conférencière brillante en tous points : architecture, histoire, décoration intérieure.
Une gentillesse enthousiaste de la part de toute l'équipe de la Maison du Patrimoine.

J'ai adoré cette visite. Au premier abord, je n'ai pas trop architecture du Havre. Cette visite m'a ouvert les yeux sur le pourquoi le choix de ces constructions qui offrent finalement une harmonie à la ville. On découvre l'ingéniosité et la modernité de l'architecte dans le choix des formes et des matières. A découvrir absolument.
