Le Havre owes almost everything to two men. One made it a royal port (François I), the other redesigned its axes and buildings (Auguste Perret). In between, five centuries of history have shaped this city of a thousand faces, the cradle of Impressionism in the 19th century and a veritable open-air museum today, thanks in particular to the permanent works created for the now cult event "Un Été au Havre". Le Havre isn't just concrete, it's also the sea, its gigantic port, its lively beach right in the heart of the city, beautiful avenues and square kilometers of greenery.
