This commune and its forest are located 20 km from Rouen in the Seine valley, a stone's throw from the white cliffs in a loop of the river. Together, they form the Jumièges peninsula. Situated on the abbey route, the town has preserved the impressive ruins of its monumental edifice, the highest church in Normandy in the 11th century. The town owes its fame to the many orchards that line the Seine and the tasty fruit they produce. The town's heritage can be explored on a number of walks, including a self-guided tour in the brochure "Duclair et ses alentours" (available free of charge from the tourist office).
