A passionate oyster farmer based in the small port of La Barbotière in Gujan-Mestras and working in the traditional way, Frédéric Paillère, a former agricultural engineer and production consultant, collects the spat, raises his oysters, sells them retail, wholesale and ships them all over France. His oysters are soft and fleshy, a real pleasure for the taste buds of oyster lovers. You can find Frédéric Paillère and his good oysters every Sunday in Lacanau town.

During the summer period, of course, it is more pleasant, but this open-air market takes place all year round on the square of the station of Gujan-Mestras. Here, about forty itinerant traders are present to make discover quality products. This market allows to privilege the contact between the producers and the consumers. It is always appreciated by the Gujanese as well as the tourists and visitors of passage. Leave your car on the parking lot (allée René Fourgs) and take the free shuttle to get there.

This address had been on our radar for years, but we'd never set foot in it... Tifenn and Mathias' Chalet Gourmand is a veritable Ali Baba's cave of products from the Bassin and the surrounding area. Souvenirs, decorative objects, crockery, delicatessen, cellar (local beers, aperitifs...), café tchanqué... And in this bric-a-brac decor? A small canteen with a lunch menu (choice of sandwich with homemade bread + salad and dessert of the day)! In fact, everything can be eaten, drunk or bought. The welcome is cheerful.
